Walt was a real treasure. I suppose that I'll never again know someone whose eyebrows actually have a life of their own. Walt has passed on to greener pastures but the memory of those jumpy little critters will live on in my memory and in the memory of every other signer who missed his note in the chord while performing for Walt, my friend.

Walt was coaching our quartet at the "old" house in West Chicago in the 70's. When he told us it was over a 100 years old, one of the quartet members asked him if he had built it? It was indeed a pleasure and a treat to have know Walt.
