Not sure what to say?

We were so sad to hear of Walts passing. We will always remember our tuesdays at song mountain. He was a beautiful skier! We also shared our connection to ESF. Always wonderful conversations with both of you. Our condolences and prayers.

Dear Cheryl. My deepest sympathy goes out to you and your family. Walter was quite a guy. He loved his life and was in such good shape for most of his life. Hope to see you this summer.

We were saddened to hear of Walt's passing. We did not know Walt for a long time but he was a gentle man who cared for the earth and life around him. May he rest in peace. May you find comfort knowing others care. Rose and John

Cheryl, I was filled with sadness when I read of Walt´s passing. To know Walt was to think he would go on forever: what spirit , drive , determination ,amazing athletic ability , old country ethics ,an amazing competitor and a friend to all. I could go on but if you knew him you would understand. He had been Walt´s and my friend for many years. We will always remember him as our treasured friend. Rest In Peace Walter.

Cheryl, sympathy and prayers go out to you and your family during this difficult time. May he rest in peace.

Marian & I want to express our condolances to Walt's family. I remember Walt from Turners and the gymnastic meets in the late 40's and then later at the Thunderbird club at song. We always thought his jump turn on skies was impressive. We know you will miss him. Ray & Marian Black.

I just heard tonight of Walt's passing. I am sorry to hear of his passing, but happy to have known him. We had skied together a long time ago, and those days at Song Mt. were the good old days. That goes for the entire Maier family.

Cheryl, Walt will be greatly missed. I enjoyed seeing you and him at the jams in Marcellus. My sons Peter and Brad send condolences to your son Eric, May he rest in peace with Jesus for all eternity, Amen,
