Not sure what to say?

Just want pass on warm Holiday thought´s to Walter´s family. I remember him fondly from law school and am sure his loss still lingers, especially at this time of year. Angus King

I was a classmate and friend of Walter´s at Virginia Law School. I remember him as kind, funny, and a good friend. I´m sure he will be missed by his family and neighbors in the Valley. RIP old friend. Angus King, U.S. Senator, Maine; Virginia Law, `69.

Remembering Walter is a pleasure. He was best of friends with my late husband where they grew up together here in his hometown of Mount Jackson. I used to talk with him every time he would come to our church and he was always gracious and friendly to me. We all will miss his friendly ways.

I Remember flying to Fort Monmouth In a twin engine as a co-pilot when you were in the Army and we had a great visit !

Friend, partner, teacher, and fearless skipper of the "Second Wind."

What a nice fellow. First met Walter when he was with the Attorney General´s office and I covered state government. He´d often walk into the old Radio-TV room and shoot the breeze dropping a news tip every now and then. Add to all that, we were fellow G.W.U. Colonials. Walter, looks like you lived a good life. RIP and Hail To The Buff & Blue ( he knew the words!!!)

Walt and I started a rock and roll band when we were teenagers.

I saw my first color tv in Walt's basement.
