Not sure what to say?

I will never forget the stories, the memories, or you. I was blessed by having you in my life.

Bernard, a highly talented and kind person. I am very
fortunate to have one of his original wooden Indians.
He carved several for the JHS class of 1947 30th reunion.
It has been a treasure of mine since 1977; I am sure his
family knows that he will be missed by many.
Bette (Coulter) Harris

Mr. Mayfield was one of the leading historians around Jacksonville for as long as I can remember. A fine gentleman who placed importance on God, family and country.
His presence will be missed in this town and his memory will live on.
God bless his family in this time of loss.

We love you Uncle 'Nard. You shared so much with us, and it will be missed. Thanks for everything you did and gave to us.

We were blessed to be part of your extended family. We will miss you.

"Nard" was a giant in a small frame. He had a gentle nature, an inquiring mind, gifted hands, and a loving heart. God blessed him with such immense talents because he knew Nard would share those same talents with others. He was, and will remain, an example to me of what a man is.

You will be missed. We love you.
