Not sure what to say?

Hi There, My name is Lee Durlach, son of Ira Durlach. My father worked directly for Wally at Bristol Myers for years. I played golf with my father and Wally of several occasions when I was a child/teen. I remember Matthew back then. I remember a couple of huge backyard parties with other Bristol Myers folks under Wally like Joe Morano and Tommy McCormick and others who´s names I can´t remember. I remember my father telling me on more than one occasion that Wally was the person who sold Walt...

Wally would probably not remember me at Bristol-Myers Products except for creating a record number of backorders. No matter what, he inspired so many to recognize that despite hurdles in the way, "happy days are always here again." To his family: a memorable and exceptional gentleman who inspired many to excel.

What a privilege it was to have had the opportunity to work in sales for Wally McCurdy. I often think of him. He provided this young lad many nuggets of wisdom. The line I remember most was his advice of working under many supervisors. "You will learn equally from the good and bad bosses you have in your career. Hold onto to the good and discard the bad from those experiences." Thoughts and prayers to the McCurdy clan. And thanks for sharing him with all of us at Bristol-Myers.

Wally was a mentor to me and many others during our time at Bristol-Myers. He will always be remembered as a man of honesty and integrity...it was an honor to have worked for him.

Wally was a dear friend and mentor. He will be missed

Bonnie, Mary, Wally, Loraine- so sorry to hear about your dad. When I shared this with my siblings, my observation was that "when they talk about The Greatest Generation, there is no better example than Wally McCurdy." Unfortunately, I am leaving for the UK Friday so I can't be at his service. My mom Alice also passed away just a few months ago. I have all the photo albums, including many pictures of both couples from their time in Hawaii during the service. I am in Darien, so would...

Wally was a wonderful man, neighbor and friend to us when we moved to Laurel Green A true gentleman with a brilliant mind and a kind and loving heart We have so many fond memories of Wally enjoying a bike ride or chatting with neighbors We send our prayers and sympathy to his loving family

Fresh out of school, Wally saw things in me, that I never could have imagined. I learned from him, not only the finer aspects of sales, but also how to be a better human being. I shall ever be indebted to Wally for providing the guidelines to be a better person. RIP my friend.

Dear Loraine, Please accept my deepest condolences on the loss of your beloved father. You are heavily in my thoughts and prayers. Sincerely, Catherine
