To the McMahons, It will be very hard for me to forget Walt. Anytime I see the Economist magazine, I think of him and it brings a smile to my face. I was. so lucky and priveledged to share his last few months of life with him. Sending love and deepest condolences to you all.

We grew to love Walt and Carolyn as we got to know them through the UU church. Their influence still resonates in the life of the church and will continue for many years with their more than generous contributions to special funds and projects. Walt was a delight to visit with and a veritable inexhaustible source of stories and experiences. We also shared a passion for our boyhoods on Iowa farms- the source of many of those stories. Condolences to his most awesome family.

When I was a horse mad teenager Walt took the time to take me riding and the generosity to let me ride Corrie any time I liked. Some of my most cherished memories of those years were spent galloping about feeling completely free. Thank you Walt. You gave me real happiness.

Walt was a remarkable person who made the world a better place.

Walt was a very decent man and a dear friend. He will be missed.
