Not sure what to say?

Fr. Wally and my Dad (Ed Lalowski) were school chums in the 1920s/1930s. He often came to our home for dinner. I spent a short time at St. Jude's Seminary where he was my Algebra teacher.

UNCLE WALTER WAS A SPECIAL PERSON
WHEN EVER YOU WOULD VISIT HIM HE WAS
ALWAYS INTERESTED IN "WHAT'S NEW"
ALWAYS LOOKING TO LEARN WHAT HAD
HAPPENED SINCE THE LAST VISIT.
A PERSON WHO HAD A HARD TIME SAYING
"NO" TO PEOPLE JUST WANTED TO HELP
EVERYONE HE KNEW. WILL MISS HIM
VERY MUCH. DURING MY VISITS.
GLAD HE WAS MY RELATIVE.

I was fortunate enough to have had several visits with Father Walter (my great uncle) over the last couple of years. He helped me with my family history and shared stories about my great grandfather and what it was like to grow up in his time. I had hoped to come to Illinois again for a visit with him this year. I'll always remember how easy it was to talk with him and how willing he was to share stories. God Bless.

I love my great Uncle, I had wonderful childhood memories with him, and he did gave my 8th grade graduation mass at St Joes in St Louis. Now I know he will be with my grandfather.

Our thoughts and prayers are with you. Thank you for being in our lives.

To our Great Uncle Walter,
You leave us with many fond family memories. How blessed we are to have had you in our lives. Our thoughts and prayers are with you.

Father Mischke will be in my prayers. He always had a good word and smile for every officer.
