An honor and a comfort to have known this wonderful soul and truley talented artist. Not enough can be said of his kind and gentle nature. He will be missed, and his memory cherished always. May he rest in peace.

I was stunned to read the announcement of Walter's passing at the Art Students League. He was such a nice guy, so devoted to painting, so kind, with a wry sense of humor.
I am glad Walter lived his life as he wanted to, following his heart and always painting.
Rest in peace, Walter. Thanks for being exactly who you were.
