Although I did not know your dad, I have lost both of my parents and know the saddness. My thoughts and prayers are with you, and you have my deepest sympathy.

I have many fond memories of Mr. Newton -- the twinkle in his eye, his laugh, that incredible handlebar mustache, and his sense of humor.

I will never forget the first time I had dinner as a teenager at your home in New Jersey. I was so nervous because for some reason I thought your family was very proper at the dinner table. I asked him to "please pass the baked potatoes" and he tossed it like a football to me! He certainly broke the tension -- I still laugh out loud every time...

It was a great pleasure and blessing to know Walter Newton. He is missed.
