Wally and I served together in the Army. We were buddies from the day we met at the AFEES station departing for Fort Leonardwood. We completed basic training together, then went to Fort Ord, CA for Infantry School, Graduated together in the top 10% of our class and was sent to Non-commissioned Officers Class together at Fort Benning Georgia. then on to Scout Dog School together. After Gradutaion, we both reported to Veit Nam where we were then sent to different Divisions, Me to the 101st...

I found this by accident, My thoughts and prayers go out to Rose and the rest of the family. Wally, Tommy and I hung out as Kids in Chicago. I too am a victim of agent orange, God Bless!

So sorry for your loss. Condolences to the entire family. The flags flown on the block to honor Wally is a very touching honor. I know we will look at the flag each time we pass it and think of our wonderful neighbor.
