Not sure what to say?

Walter was a kind mentor to me, when I tried to get started in solo law practice. He seemed wise and distinguished, and I was a little in awe of him. He had a keen instinct for friendship, taking an interest in how other people were doing. This was a very good man.

My father, Darrel Johnson, worked with Walter. As a child I was impressed not for his knowledge of law, but for his kindness he always showed me. I am so sorry for your loss. He left quite a legacy. My prayers are with all of you.
Sincerely,

Laurie Johnson Scott

I know I speak for my family, past and present, in extending sincerest condolences and recollecting the good and thorough advice provided by Walter to my dad Earl Repp and later to my family, Tom and Sara Repp as well as myself. He always had time to provide counsel which was always with opinion worth consideration. He stood for the better part of Oregon's legal community: you are not only an advocate but a counselor, a calling too often not fully embraced. Walter did. God bless you and all...

Dear Jeanne,

I never knew Walter, but I've known you for ever, of course, and have never felt far removed with fond memories reinforced by recollections of our early years at Ainsworth, and by rides with you and your Dad from the "fountain" to Lincoln, even though it's been a while since I've seen you.

I'm very sorry for your loss. I hope that happy memories will soon creep in and overshadow the sorrow of his death.

Sincerely,

Bill Lawrence

Jeanne- I tried to call you a couple times in December. A friend sent me Walter's obit. We both know how much Walter helped me when Jack was ill. I will always be thankful to him. Will try to call you again. Fondly, Lynne Hoffman

Dear Jeanne,
I am sorry for the loss of your dear Walter. He was a wonderful mentor to me for about five years at the Bullivant firm, and I have such fond memories. I will see you at the memorial on the 22nd and hope to give you a big hug!

Pearl and Bob send our condolences to you and you know we are thinking of you.
