I was sorry to learn of the death of an esteemed classmate at Richland High School and a distinguished scholar, and I extend my condolences to his family.

Dear Barbara, Debbie and Larry:

Walter was one of the most inspiring people in my life. His enthusiasm, strength and knowledge
were truly amazing. His support of my PhD work was truly a blessing.
