When I was a prosecutor working for Henry Wade in the 1970s, I worked with Walter and Gus Rose on many cases. He was really a wonderful man - intelligent, funny, wise, honest, and a real delight to work with. I think the highest compliment you can pay to an individual is to say that he was a good man. And thats exactly what he was. My prayers and best wishes go out to Walters family and loved ones.

I first met Walter Potts at the Dallas County Sheriff’s office when he led a monthly meeting of area police officers where criminal activity was discussed and shared.

Coffee and doughnuts were provided but Walter Potts was the main reason for the overwhelming success of this endeavor where criminal intelligence was mutually gathered and shared.

He was an outstanding leader. My life was enhanced by his friendship.
