My deepest sympathies to Congressman Powell's son and grandsons. I worked as an intern in the Congressman's Washington DC office the summer of 1973 between my freshman and sophomore years at UC. Congressman Powell was so kind to me and the other two interns in his office that summer. We were assigned many tasks, often menial but sometimes important. Congressman Powell was one fine person and public servant and family man.
Our sympathy goes out to Steve and his family for their loss. I worked with the Judge for many years and we were and are friends.
