Walter Lee Rector

WALTER LEE RECTOR, age 80, of Las Cruces passed away Monday, August 17, 2015 at his home in the presence his loving daughters. He was born September 3, 1934 in Indianapolis, Indiana to Franklin and Margaret Rector. Walter served his country honorably in the U.S. Air Force. He worked for a Government Contract Agency as a machinist, and was proud member of the National Rifle Association.
Survivors include his daughters, Kristie Lovelady (Michael Lopez) of Las Cruces and Toni Goessman (Steven) of Scottsdale, AZ. Other survivors include eight grandchildren and four great-grandchildren. Walter was preceded in death by his parents, his wife Georgia Rector in 2007, and all his siblings.
A Memorial Service will be held at 6 PM Tuesday, August 25, 2015 at La Posada - Mesilla Valley Hospice Chapel, 299 E. Montana, with the Reverend Chuck Hinkle, officiating. Private interment will be held at Fort Bliss National Cemetery at a later date.
In lieu of flowers the family requests that donations be made to a charity of choice in Walter?s memory.
