Walter was a Marine until the end. He worked as hard as he could give and then some. I worked with him and he told me many stories that inspired me to do my best. He will be truly missed.

I had the privilege of working with Walter at the Intrepid Museum. He truly represented the best this great country has to offer. A Marine who survived D-Day and Iwo Jima. A hero and a Great American.
