Walter was a true gentleman in every sense of the word, and a Westfield institution.The community was fortunate for his service and leadership. I very much enjoyed working with, and getting to know, him while serving on Town Council. My thoughts and prayers are with his family. Rest in peace, Chief.

As a volunteer of the Westfield I was proud to serve under Chief Ridge. I feel he was the perfect choice for chief and held the position with honor. Sadly I will be unable to attend his funeral but will keep him in my thoughts.
