Walter Risso Obituary

Walter S. Risso
Walter S. Risso, 73, of Danbury, CT, passed away on Monday evening, July 2, 2018 at Bethel Health Care after an extended illness.
Walter was born in Danbury to the late Walter C. and Beatrice Stanton Risso. He attended Danbury Schools and was a 1963 graduate of Danbury High School. Walter received his BA from Western CT State University.
A former New York City resident, Walter was a longtime chef in various Manhattan restaurants. He was most recently a substitute school teacher in the Danbury Public School System until his retirement.
Walter was a member of Union Lodge No. 40 A.F. and A.M. Masonic Lodge in Danbury.
Survivors include his sister Jane O'Brien Adams and her husband, John, of Danbury. Several cousins also survive.
Funeral Services will be conducted at 10 a.m. on Saturday, July 7, 2018 at St. James Church, 25 West St., Danbury with the Rev. Dr. Joseph A. Krasinski, Rector, officiating.
Burial will be in Elmwood Cemetery, Bethel, CT.
There are no calling hours.
Contributions in Walter's memory may be made to Regional Hospice and Home Care of Western CT, 30 Milestone Rd., Danbury, CT 06810
