Not sure what to say?

My heartfelt sympathy to Walter's family. I didn't really know Walter, except when our family (my father was also named Karl) would visit in Connecticut. I was the younger punk kid, but I do remember (I think) him showing me a radio he built. We had the occasional email correspondence the last four years or so. In fact, I didn't get a response to an email I sent three weeks ago concerning the fact that a pro shop in Clifton Park, NY, where I was buying my wife a driver for her...

I think about you all the time. Miss you

Wally hosted a Golf tournament for The Campus School at Boston College at Pembroke CC....He was an absolute pleasure to be around. Made our whole group feel like family. A great story-teller and host, he helped us raise tens of thousands of dollars for our program that supports children with special needs. Although I only knew him briefly, he made a lasting impression. So sorry for his passing. -Sean

I worked with Wally at Mobil. He was a terrific person and very dedicated. Very sad news.

Wally was my hockey coach years ago, before that time I was timid and very unconfident, I met this guy and he changed that I’ll never forget it! Thank you Wally...RIPMy best to Jo, T, and J

On behalf of the Friends of South Shore Health, we are so very sorry to hear of Wally's passing. We met Wally five years ago and have been the beneficiaries of his generosity ever since then in holding an anual fundraiser at PCC for our Home Care/Hospice division. Enjoyed the after-event chats very much with him and Jo. God bless and comfort you Jo and family.

I met Wally and Jo when I joined Pemroke CC 3 years ago. Hw was a ery friendly and nice man. My friends and I had many enjoyable conversations at the club. I spoke to him several times as he dealt with this ilness. I will miss him greatly. My condolances and love to his family and expecially to Jo who I knew.

Wally was a good and generous man who was an integral and loving member of the Genesis Foundation family. He will be missed.

I met Wally and the Roenick family at the beginning of the 1982-83 hockey season in the Washington, D.C. area as I was a new assistant coach for Jeremy's Pee-Wee AAA team. Oh boy, it did not take long for Wally and me to click. While Jeremy and Wally were only with my team for one year, it became a life long friendship that spans 39 years. There are few people in this life that you will ever meet that had more energy, better stories or knew more about ice hockey. After that lone season with...
