I knew Walter as a child growing up with Allen in Jackson and later during my life was always comfortable stopping and saying Hi to he and Elaine. He was always one of the most soft spoken, friendliest and gracious men I have ever known. He would always ask how I was doing and showed genuine concern for my well-being.
