We have lived in the neighborhood (32 years) and I remember his St Bernards and his little dog with the coloring of a Bernard. Walter fed the deer, the feral cats; they will miss his kindness. His snow sculptures were priceless. He was a visible presence and very recently was working, doing lawn care for a neighbor. Sad that he's gone, he will be missed and remembered.

I have known Walt since I was a child. Steph and I were best friends. I always remember Walt teaching us to play ping pong and how happy I was to finally beat him. I can see him lying on the couch watching Hee Haw. I would always look for him to be outside putting out another artistic piece in the yard. He will be missed. My thoughts are with the family.
