Not sure what to say?

Walt was a grand gentleman and a man dedicated to excellence in education. Walt was a mentor to Jerry and encouraged him to seek a doctorate in education from Michigan State University. Our family spent one full year in Spartan Village with Jerry and myself both taking graduate classes. Walt and Leora came to visit us in our small apartment in married student housing. What a treat to have visitors from California. SLO is diminished by his passing, but he and Leora are now together. We...

Mr Schroeder and Leora were some of the fondest memories during my time at CalPoly 73 -78. He was the reason I continued with my degree. He was encouraging and inspiring as an educator. I thank you Mr Schroeder for your kind words to a young teacher and you will always be in my prayers. THank you to the family for sharing your parents with us. They were great people.

Not only a gentleman and a scholar, but a friend, too. I will miss seeing and visiting with Walt at the CTRA meetings. He always made it a point to be friendly and caring of every member. Surely the Lord has placed him at the heavenly gates to greet the newcomers as they arrive. Walt is the kind of person/angel who will make them feel instantly accepted. He liked everybody and everybody liked him.

Thanks for the pleasure of having known you, Walt. Please give my family and friends...

Dearest Schroeder Family,
May the beautiful memories of your lives together and the blessings of friends and family sustain you at this difficult time.
We will never forget the joy of knowing Walter and Leora and the great friendship shared with them by our parents, Lee and Estelle Balatti.

Dr. Schroeder was a great man. I knew him from my youth, growing up with his youngest son, and professionally from my work teaching chemistry at San Luis Obispo High School. His generation of professors help to make Cal Poly one of the finest Universities in this country, and he is one more reason why he is a part of America's greatest generation.

Arlene and Everett Chandler will miss
Walter very much. He and his wife, Leora, were good friends. We've missed
Leora since her death and know that Walter is happy to be with her again.
