Dear Walter, it is with great sadness that I discovered searching for you that you had passed away. We had lost touch over the last few years, but you were a wonderful friend and an incredible human being. Brilliant historian, wonderful teacher, terrific father and husband, I considered you my mentor and a great friend. You will be greatly missed. If Andrea or Julie reads this, please contact me at "Dome Nico" on Facebook. Domenic Vecchiarelli Glenville, NY

Dear Maxine, you have been on my mind lately and I tried to call but discovered the phone is disconnected. I am so sorry for your loss of Walt. You were always a good friend to Chuck. Please call 8057045816. Much love, Lorie Adoff

Maxine and family, I enjoyed meeting Walter at a Hackett MS function, and had a delightful conversation with him. I remember his brilliance. May he Rest In Peace.

My deepest sympathy go out to Maxine and her family. Know that I am thinking of you during this difficult time. I always enjoyed Walter's company during our Class gatherings and his sense of humor, my kind of person. He certainly will be missed by one and all. May he R.I.P. Although it is impossible to see beyond your pain, May we look back to good memories to comfort and help you today; May your heart and soul find peace and happiness.
