Happy Birthday Walter!! I remembered that Ground Hog's Day was your bday!! Walter was a volunteer in the Child Life Department for approximately 15 years (which was a goal he set for himself). I believe this is Walt Simpson who grew up and went to school in Roseburg Or. Walt was one of the football team managers if I remember correctly . I ran into Walt at a football game back in the 80s at the stadium and he told me that he was living in Portland and I too was living in the Hillsboro area. I used to teach an exercise class at Holgate House. Walter was an absolute joy. He loved the class, but more than that, he loved to socialize with everyone and he made everyone laugh. He truly loved being with people. Years later I saw him on the MAX going to a Blazers game, and he immediately brought a smile to my face. He was a wonderful man and I'm sorry for your loss.
