Walter Sparks

I just noticed this and must say sorry I'm late, but I am now 71, Mr. Sparks was my football coach in 66-68 at Oregon City High school, over the years I have come to realize how much my childhood meant to me. and the people who were there, like Mike Corrigan head football coach, Wally Sparks, John Heins, and a few others. they are now distant memories and are now all gone, but their memories will live on in my heart forever. Wally Sparks was my history teacher in 1967 and a few years later he was my supervisor as I completed my student teaching. Wally was instrumental in finding a teaching job for me. Wally made a huge difference for many young athletes, myself included. He was a great coach, great teacher and great husband to his loving wife.

Mr. Sparks was my history teacher my jr. year of high school in Oregon City (1965-66 school year). He had a wonderful sense of humor and we could always get him to change the subject from history to talking about football. He will be remembered fondly.
