Not sure what to say?

I worked with Walter for many years through the Heights-Hillcrest Regional Chamber of Commerce, where he served on our board of directors representing the City of University Heights. Walter was such a kind, giving man, a true gentleman with a lovely sense of humor, and an award winning smile. I always enjoyed working with him. He was devoted to his community!

I just returned from a trip to learn this sad news. There aren't many people for whom I have as much respect as I did for Walter Stinson. My thoughts and prayers are with Sara and her family.

May your hearts soon be filled with wonderful memories of joyful times together as you celebrate a life well lived.

My heartfelt condolences. Walter was a kind and honorable man who cared immensely for people and his community. We met in 1995 through his work as community development director for the City of University Heights. He truly was a pleasure to work with, and figured importantly in me being identified and encouraged to run for city council in 2008. He will be missed but his outstanding legacy will live on. Keeping the family lifted in prayer during this difficult time.

In his appointed role with the City of University Heights, Walter provided the timely and proper solution. He found answers and resources that provided comfort, safety and peace of mind for those in need. Walter was a blessing on those who found themselves within his sphere of influence. He always left you feeling better than when he found you.

Harriet, my daughter, was ten when she told her girlfriend, Claire, (also 10) she knew "a big man in City Hall" who could help them find their lost dog. The "big man" was indeed, Walter Stinson, who paused his work for a moment to listen to the troubled youngsters. We miss you, Walt!

"Blessed are the peacemakers". Walter was a kind and gentle soul who loved his family, his church, and his city. He was a promoter of peace. He did so much for University Heights, and the world is a better place for having had him in it. And now Heaven rejoices in his presence there. Our deepest condolences to Sara and all the family for your loss. With love , Mike and Kim

So sorry to hear this news. Mr. Stinson was a kind and generous soul who shared so much of himself with our University Heights resident's for so many years. His passing will leave a void in the lives of so many, but he leaves a legacy of outstanding civic service and genuine goodness. Sending prayers for comfort, peace, solace and strength to his family and friends. May his memory forever be a blessing for all those who were lucky enough to have known and loved him. May he rest in peace.
