To The Turpin Family,
I'm glad my sister, Judy, called me from Arizona to let me know of Walter's passing so that I could get to the wake. I fondly remember growing up with Walter -- playing softball in the lot next door and picking grapes in his backyard on Hawthorne Street. Walter was always a happy-go-lucky and decent person. I will miss him.

Lisa---I am so very sorry to hear about the loss of your father.
While I never met your dad, I can see you inherited some great genes from him.
Reading this guest book, I see what a well-liked man your dad was, and I so often see those same traits in you.
Please accept my deepest condolences.

To the Turpin family;
My deapest sympathy to all of you. I only knew Walter a short time from taking the train. He always made me laugh and forget the stress of a busy workday. He will be deeply missed.

I've know Walt for many years since taking the Waterbury train line and he's certainly the gentleman soldier to those in distress. Many laughs & personal exchange were not held back on the much anticipated commute with the Waterbury crew. Walter was the icon amoung us and his presence is sorely missed. Much love to you and your family.

Dear Roberta and family,
Please accept my deepest sympathy on Walter's passing. I'm just a small voice from the past but want you to know my thoughts and prayers are with you all.
Walter and I worked together at Greenwich Woods and his sense of humor and ability to get back to what was important (and not!) was always welcomed during those crazy years of opening a nursing home. How did that come to be so many years ago??
May the love, good times and memories help you and all...

To Walter's Family,
I had the pleasure of taking the train with Walt for several years. I always admired him for his passion and dedication to family and the military. He will be missed.

Please accept my complete sympathy. Hearing of your loss came as such a shock to myself. Words alone can never express the honor and respect that Walter showed toward the world and how he lived. As much as he will be missed, he will always be remembered,
May God Bless Walter and God Bless His Family
