Not sure what to say?

I knew Walt for a summer. We were stationed in Pensacola at the same time. Walt's family had all been Marines. Mine had all been Navy. A truly good man. You all were lucky to have known him better than I.

Walt was a co-worker of mine at the Mechanicsburg Navy base. He also enjoyed traveling to various places and was on a trip I went to Las Vegas. Walt had a fabulous sense of humor and shared it with his Navy buddies. He was a kind and private man. I will always respect Walt for his bravery in facing his illness. Walt will be deeply missed by his many friends at the Navy. My prayers go out to his family. In deepest sympathy for your untimely loss.

My husband Jay and I knew Walt from our employment at the Navy base and we also had the pleasure of traveling to China and Spain with Walt. We will never forget shopping for vitamin C tablets with Walt in a Chinese pharmacy. Walt was a warm and gracious gentlemen and we are glad to have known and traveled with him.

We knew Walt from coming into Members 1st on base. He always greeted us with a warm smile. We all shared many laughs together, and he will be greatly missed as one of our regular members. Kay, Amanda and Reva (members 1st Navy Depot tellers)

Walt,Shawn,Alex and Morgan,

May you find comfort in the many great memories you all have of the times you spent together. Our thoughts and prayers are with you at this difficult time.

I knew Walter through our mutual employment at the US Navy Depot in Mechanicsburg, PA. He was always a Marine and a Gentelman throughout the time we worked together. I lost track of Walt when our paths split after my retirement, but, he will surely be missed. God bless him and his son and rest of the family.

I sat next to Walt at the Camp Hill Starbucks a few months ago when he was starting treatments again. We talked for probably 10 minutes. He seemed very upbeat. Then last week I saw him here on the Navy base driving by and he waved at me. He was smiling and looked good, at least from where I stood. Hard to believe he is gone. He was too young to go. Condolences to his family. He was well-liked by those who worked with him.

I first met Walt about 20 years ago. We worked in the same cubicle at the Mechanicsburg Navy Base. Immediately, a deep friendship developed. I remember a lot of good times with Walt, times of joking, times of laughter, times of talking lovingly about our families. I was always impressed and encouraged by his jovial spirit, even in the midst of his suffering. I will miss him greatly. He was a great friend and co-worker. My prayers are with you, his family and friends, that you will be...

Walt's family,
I worked in the same section at the Navy Base with Walt. I recently became a grandma to twin boys so Walt and I would always talk about grandkids. He truly loved his grandkids and his family. He was a great co-worker and truly liked by everyone. He will be greatly missed.
