Dear Edith and Family,
My deepest sympathy to you and your family. It has been a long time since we worked together at Booth. The world has changed so much, but our love of family and memories we have made stay the same. I have not seen you for a very long time and seeing in the paper about Walter brought back a lot of thoughts about our days at Booth. Your family certainly has grown with grandchildren and great grandchildren. We have 7 grandchildren now--all boys except for one girl....

The first time I can actually remember Uncle Walt was at the Vis reunion in Iowa in the 80s. I can remember him dressed up as a clown. And I can remember him playing ball with everyone. He was always so full of fun!
In the years since then my husband and I have run into Uncle Walt and Aunt Edith at the Rec Center a couple times and they always remember me and my husband (who also happens to love and play ball - which is maybe one of the reasons they remembered us so well).
