Walter WALKINSHAW

I was privileged to share an occasional informal lunch arranged on short notice by Walt with Walt and his good friend Elliot Marple, with whom I worked. Walt will be greatly missed. Condolences to Jean and to all family members.

My wife and I met Walt & Jean after their son, Rob, worked on a trail construction crew that we supervised. We later did some bike riding in the Skagit valley with Walt and Jean. We regret that we did not have the opportunity to spend more time with this wonderful and thoroughly admirable couple. We will miss Walt even though we only shared his company on a few occasions.

Walt is a model of graceful aging I shall not soon forget. His persistent engagement never ceased to amaze. My sincerely condolences to Jean.
