Professor Wasilewski was my news writing professor at Syracuse University/Newhouse. I am so sorry to hear of his passing. He sparked my interest in news writing and an overall passion for effective communication. See you soon Walt on that front page sky.

K. I found out about your father's passing at the very last second yesterday. I am so sorry for your loss. My condolences goes out to you and your loved ones. Funny in retrospect i may have talked to him at the post standard and never made the connection. Just know he is still with you but had to change his residence because God called him home. Peace and blessings

K. I found out about your father's passing at the absolute last second yesterday. I am so sorry to hear and my prayers and condolences reaches out to you and your loved ones. It's funny in retrospect to think I may have talked to your father at the post standard and never realized the connection. He is with you always but had to change his residence because God called him home. Peace and blessings always.

I was lucky enough to have met Walt (Waz) in Oswego. That first year at Scales Hall, my roommate and I and other members of the gang, ate dinner with him almost every night in the dining hall to talk about our day, and we got to share many good times with him. We continued our friendship in Syracuse and watched him grow into the great man we knew he would become. Great friend, colleague, husband and father. His positive light will be missed by all who knew him.

My condolences to his family. Walt was fantastic to work with -- caring, knowledgeable and always with students' best interest in mind. I'm grateful to have worked with him.
