Maddie and families,
Our sympathy on the loss of Walter, a man of high courage.
We sat together almost every Sunday in the pew we labeled
“the choir widowers pew”, while our wives sang in the choir.
Walter always greeted you with a smile, and often a funny story,
in spite of the obvious struggles his health was giving him.
It’s been several years since St. Mary of the Assumption closed
but that memory is fresh in our minds.
