Walter Yeager

Pastor Yeager ... what can I say... He was an inspiration, a teacher, a second father to me. He held me in the hospital the day I was born...
I spent every Sunday morning, Sunday evening, Wednesday evening and most Thursdays listening to him speak...
His is a voice I will never forget..
I loved him dearly

I was so glad to be able to visit with Pastor Yeager in May when I was in Zanesville. He told me than that he wanted to go home and be with Dorothy. I shared memories of he and his wife when I was growing up in the church. He will never be forgotten. Heaven gets more precious every year that I live.

My sympathies to the Yeager family.I started attending Calvary Baptist when I was a wee 6 months old. Attended Sunday morning, Sunday evening and Wednesday night prayer meeting and Awana. I accepted the Lord as my Savior when I was 9 years old and was baptized by Pastor Yeager. Took piano lessons from Mrs. Yeager. I used to sing with my 2 sisters as the Gamble Trio. I am proud to have been a member of Calvary Baptist Church and to have known Pastor Yeager, He was a wonderful man and was loved...

My sympathies to the Yeager family. Pastor Yeager led me to the Lord in Nov. 1965 when I was 20 yrs. old. He was an excellent 'teacher-preacher' and I learned so much of God's Word under his ministry at Calvary Baptist Church. He & his wife were very talented musically as well as very knowledgeable of Holy Scripture. I'm grateful for the good influence they had on me as a new Christian. They touched many lives for the Lord.
