Not sure what to say?

Our thoughts are with Aunt Helen and family. I have very fond memories of my Uncle Walt and Aunt Helen, and growing up in Grand Rapids. I remember visiting their home, and playing my trumpet in the Bruce Packard Polka band for them. Walt to me represented a generation that worked hard and appreciated the important things in life.

I am so sorry for your loss. Barb, I lost my father a few years ago, and I know what a void it leaves in your life. I'll keep you in my prayers.

My deepest sorrow. He was family to me, like an uncle. I'm very sad that I can not be there with all of you to send him off to God. You are all in my prayers. Peace be with you.
Love,
Stevie Szynkowski

Know that our families thoughts and prayers are with you. - UPS

I remember all the good times our families shared as I was growing up in GR. Danced several polkas with Walt. My deepest sympathies to you and your family. My mom and dad ( Dolores & Jerry Kozminski) often talked of the good times and remembered times spent at the barber shop, weddings and family picnics with CWV.

You'll always be my Uncle Walt and the barber. I remember as a very young lad, going to Joe & Sons Barber Shop on Butterworth. Uncle Walt, along with Uncle Ted always gave a smile and a laugh and from them a haircut that I didn't want but at 5, who am I to argue. You will be deeply missed Uncle Walt. You were and are everything good about the west side. Forever Joe & Sons.
