Wanda Mae Blevins, age 75 passed away Tuesday April 9, 2019 at her home in Marion.
 
Wanda was born in Smyth County, VA to the late Ruby Pearl Vernon and Earl Vernon and was preceded in death by her brothers Johnny and Toby Vernon and her step sister Dottie Mcallister.  She was a lifelong member of the Grosses Creek Baptist Church.  Her and her husband Willis owned and operated Blevins Motors for over 55 years.  She enjoyed bowling, car shows riding motorcycles and camping. She was a member of the Home Extension Club. She truly loved her cat Alex and her dog Claxton.
 
Survivors include her husband of 59 years Willis Blevins; her children Angela Blevins Routh of Marion and Roger Blevins and wife Angie of Marion; granddaughter Jade Routh; brothers Arthur Lee Vernon and wife Wanda of Stockbridge, GA, Jim Vernon and wife Ann of Kernersville, NC; special niece Dr. Cameron Brown of Weatherford, TX; sister in law Shirley Vernon of Kernersville, NC; step sister Elda Muncy; several nieces and nephews also survive.
 
Funeral services will be held at 7PM Thursday April 11, 2019 at the Grosses Creek Baptist Church with Reverend George Jessee officiating. The family will receive friends on Thursday from 5:00 - 7:00 PM prior to services at the church.  Graveside services will be held at 11AM Friday at the Grosses Creek Cemetery.  In lieu of flowers memorial contributions can be made to the Grosses Creek Baptist Church or to the Adwolfe Fire Department.  Expressions of sympathy may be sent to the family at www.bradleysfh.com.  Bradley’s Funeral Home is serving the Blevins family.
