Wanda Sue Blevins, age 72, passed away peacefully at her home surrounded by family and friends on January 23, 2025.


She was born on December 7, 1952, in Grayson County, VA, to the late Olan Bobbitt and Ester Osborne. Wanda was also preceded in death by her husband, Robert Stanley Blevins; sisters, Irene Bobbitt, Betty Poole, and Geraldine Bobbitt; brothers, Joe Bobbitt and Albert Bobbitt; and her great-niece, Joann Crabtree.


Wanda was a devoted Christian, ready to begin her journey home. She faced her health struggles with strength and found peace as her pain came to an end. A loving aunt and loyal friend, she was always there for those she cared about.


Survivors include her nephews, Elvis Poole and wife Rhonda, and Charles Blevins; her great-niece, Heather Poole; as well as many cherished friends and members of her church family.

Aunt Wanda was a kind gentle person who cared for everyone. I will miss talking with her and reminiscing about the Blevins family. May God Bless her and she will be missed by all that loved her.

Wanda was a great aunt when Rachel and I came down you could not keep them apart they would go all over town
She would do anything for anyone I no she missed Rachel when she passed I took over wensday call to Wanda to check up on her l will miss her love you Wand you are with all other family that left before you.

Wanda was a sweet and kind person. I know she had health struggles and I am glad she is breathing without assistance now in heaven. She will be greatly missed. You will be in my thoughts and prayers

For 50 years you have been my best friend and I’ll miss you dearly but I’ll see you again someday. You have your wings now and with God. You will always be loved and in our hearts.

For 50 years give or take we have been great friends and I’ll miss you dearly. But we’ll see each other again one day. Your heart was bigger than anyone I know. You’re with God now and have your wings go fly my friend I love you.

Wanda was one of the best friends I have ever had. I will always miss you. I love you very much. I always carry you with me until we meet again.

I’ve known Wanda all my life since I was a little girl. She was a wonderful person.

Wanda was a wonderful friend for most of my life. She was a very special person who will be greatly missed.
