Wanda Alexandra (Piekielny) Boucher, of Jacksonville, Florida passed away at the age of 69 on January 16, 2019 after a year long battle with ovarian cancer. She was a loving wife, mother, and Baba/Bobbi. Wanda was born on December 24, 1949 in Red Lake, Ontario, Canada, to the late Zofia Piekielny and the late Edward Piekielny. She moved to Brooklyn, NY in 1958 and always enjoyed returning to the city. Wanda married her devoted husband Paul in 1970, spending 49 years traveling the world and going on adventures with him. She graduated from the University of North Florida in 1992 and was an Elementary Education Teacher at Lake Lucina Elementary School retiring in 2011.
Her family and friends will always remember her spontaneity, positive outlook, and zest for life. Wanda never came across a stranger, only friends she hadn't met. She had a passion for food, cooking, and her cherished grandchildren. She lived by the philosophy "Live well, laugh often, and love always."
Wanda is survived by her loving husband, Paul J. Boucher. She was preceded in death by her sister, Barbara Murach. Wanda is also survived by her daughters, Jennifer Branton (husband Christopher Branton) and Alexis Boucher; beloved grandchildren, Eli Branton and Harper Branton; niece, Susan Murach; nephew, Edward Murach; and brother-in-law, Walter Murach.

Friends and family are welcome to attend the memorial service, officiated by Father Rafael LaVilla, Jr., on Saturday, January 26, 2019 from 10:30 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. at Blessed Trinity Catholic Church, 10472 Beach Boulevard, Jacksonville, Florida, 32246.
