Not sure what to say?

I met Lou Shields when I was in my twenties. I invited Lou to come to church at First Baptist not long after I had met her. She eventually came to church with me. She was saved by the Grace of God at my home after a Bible Study and prayer group met. That´s one night I shall never forget. After that very night, Lou´s life took a turn and she found herself as a member of First Baptist when Rev. Dr. John Bisagno was our Pastor. She went on to be President of the FBC Choir. We lost touch...

I will always remember her smile & laughter. During my first interview with her, she asked me if I minded that the mascot took an immediate liking to me. Of course I did not! Rest well Dr. Shields and keep the laughter ringing in heaven.

Lou was "special". Not sure I have the words and/or verbal expressions to define my admiration for her. Lou and I became acquainted somewhere around 1973 -75 while at First Baptist Houston/Downtown. We sang in the choir together, played on the church women's softball team and shared in many BIG church events for years. So many precious moments, fun moments & spiritual moments. Lou had a giving heart, a gentle soul & loved Jesus more than anything, anyone. She was genuine from head to toe,...

Lou was a sweet and loving soul.Spent lovely times with Angel and my sister Anita. We laughed a lot ! I'm sure Anita was waiting to greet Lou in heaven.

Our prayers and love are with you at your loss.

Wanda was a joyful force of nature early on when my sister and I swam with her and the Austin Aquatic Club team. As said here , she was a great swimmer. We all loved her and she loved back.
