Wanda Jerene Starkman, 88 years old, of Prescott Valley, AZ passed away on July 8, 2025 at St. Joseph's Hospital in Phoenix, AZ.
Jerene was born to Arthur Lee Owens and Ada Lillian Maddox Owens on November 17, 1936 in San Bernardino, CA. She was the youngest of 5 children. Jerene was a loved and cherished mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and friend.
Jerene was preceded in death by her parents Arthur and Lillian, brothers Kenneth Owens and Burl Owens, sisters Modene Sharp and Joyce Harvey. She was also preceded in death by her husband William Paul Starkman (6/19/25) and her two sons William Chuck Starkman (2004) and Steven Paul Starkman (2001).
She is survived by her daughter Victoria Schwindt (Brad), grandchildren Aaron Starkman (Erin), Holly Starkman, Allison Best (Tyler), and Ryan Schwindt. Also her great grandchildren Summer, Cameron, and Conner Starkman, Liam Best and step grandchildren Ethan and Sophia Best.
Jerene will be greatly missed. Funeral services will be at 10:00 a.m. on Friday, August 1st, 2025 at Frye Chapel in Blythe, CA. Interment will follow at Palo Verde Cemetery.
So sorry for her passing she was a good lady had a lot of f good times with her and lot of good memories Rest in Peace my friend ❤

Well, my sweet friend you are out of pain and at rest in the arms of Angels. You definitely will be missed. I enjoyed our last phone call reminiscing about our old times and our 58 year friendship and how much we had settled into our lives.
