Wanda Iola Thompson

THOMPSON, Wanda Iola - Of Flint, age 96, died Tuesday, December 25, 2018.

Funeral service will be held 11am Saturday, December 29, 2018 at the Swartz Funeral Home, 1225 West Hill Road, Flint,

Reverend Jim Offrink officiating.

Contributions may be made to the McLaren Flint Foundation.

Visitation 10am Saturday until the time of the service at the funeral home.    

Wanda was born in Flint on February 20, 1922, the daughter of the late Louis and Clarel (Somsel) de Generes. Wanda volunteered for McLaren Auxiliary. She belonged to the ABWA.

Mrs. Thompson was a long-time employee of Genesee Bank.

Surviving are daughter, Clarel (Daniel) Krpan;

grandchildren, Stephen, Marko, Matthew, and Kathryn;

9 great-grandchildren;

nieces, Gail Cochran/Cowen and Chery Tucker;

nephews, Alan Cochran, Larry Generes and Russ Generes.
