Not sure what to say?

I first read Cooperation in Change as a Peace Corps trainee in 1965. It played a major role in not only informing by service as a Peace Corps Volunteer, staff member and trainer, but my entire professional career. I had the wonderful good fortune of having several exchanges with Prof. Goodenough about republishing the book. He was gracious and helpful in an effort that, alas, proved unsuccessful. I am certain that just as Prof. Goodenough and his work informed and inspired me throughout...

A warm, gentle, kind man. I am proud to have had the opportunity to work in Penn's Dept. Of Anthropolgy when Dr. Goodenough was Chair.

Prof. Goodenough's Cooperation in Change is possibly the best work ever done on development. It influenced my and many colleagues' lives and works. Some years ago when I suggested having it republished, he was kind enough to help in the effort. He was a man of great intellect, wisdom and kindness.

A true giant in his profession and a very good friend to young and old.

In loving memory of a wonderful man who lived a rich, full life. Dr. Goodenough's friends and family all are in my thoughts and prayers.
