Ward Alexander Goodwin

I'm so sorry to hear of your loss. I am a Goodwin cousin from Salem, VA, and found out about Ward's death while doing genealogy research online. We are hoping to fix up the family cemetery where his grandmother, Cynthia Bandy Goodwin is buried.

I had been around Gay Goodwin with my mother, Mary Frances "Sandy" Goodwin Cooper, some while I was growing up. And I knew that Gay held Ward in high regard.

I will miss you and helpin' you cut wood in the mountain. My brother and I helped look over the mountain for you. You were a dear friend to me. I will never forget you. I hope you will rest in peace.

I will miss the days helpin' you cut wood up in the mountain. You became close to me almost as if you were a grandpa to me. I looked after the mountain for you & always tried to help any way I could.
