My condolences to the Vanderwill family. As a child on 6th St, I remember Mr. Vanderwill was the best- always cheerful & so kind. He even taught me how to ride my bike! So blessed to have known this amazing family!

So sorry to hear of Mr. VanDerwill's passing. He was a great neighbor who lived across the street from my childhood home on 6th street. Many fond memories of the neighborhood.

Having served on the DDA Board of Directors for 12 years our paths crossed pleasantly many times. He was a good guy.Sorry for the loss in your family.

My condolences to all of you. I have many great memories of Dutch and my dad laughing and being jokesters. He was a great man.

So saddened to hear this news. I was only a teenager in high school when I used to babysit for the VanDerwills when they lived on Henry St. in Bay City. A very lovely family with such adorable girls. Mr. VanDerwill was a very kind man and always had a smile on his face. Much time has passed but seeing his photo in the obituary stirred many memories from my youth and this family. May he now rest in God's care and soar with the angels.

Fair well to a really great treasured friend. Dutch always had a funny, warm, exuberant personality. He enjoyed life to the fullest. He will be missed.

So sad for your loss, Dutch was a funny kind hearted man, always ready with a joke and quick with retort. He led a full wonderful life with a beautiful family, he will be missed.
