I'm his great granddaughter. I don't really remember him when he was lively and well but I do remember when I would go in his room and give him oreos and sit in the chair next to him and watch TV with him. I always loved doing that and I miss him so much !

Besides my Father, also WWII vet, Stumpy has been my most unforgettable character these last 60 years. His example, patience, devotion, patriotism and committment to teaching young men have been with me as an example of "a life well lived" and how to live one. As I have encountered situations throughout my life I have reflected on lessons I learned from him in Troop 28. Around campfires, his stories were always funny but had deeper lessons that came out later, as I matured and moved into...

Lt. Watson was obviously a hero and inspiration. I didn't know him but I read his obituary with admiration for a life well lived and a legacy that will live long after him. I appreciate his service to our country and the sacrifices of his family while he served. My condolences to his family.
