Not sure what to say?

Your father was my first "Baptist" pastor, and because of him I felt the compelling call to ministry as a vocation. He led me to a deeper understanding of the place of the Christian in the world. When I am ordained to the ministry on April 15, I will remember the guidance both your father and dear sweet mother gave to me during my years at WFU.

Lynn: I am so sorry to hear about your father's death. He meant a lot to me and I was so priviledged to get to be a part of his rehabilitation not once but twice. To have the honor of caring for both your mother and father is truely special. I'm so sorry I will miss your dad's memorial tomorrow due to a prior committment. Please know how much I am thinking of you and your family. You took such good care of both your parents. Will hopefully be able to talk with you soon.

From your Wake Forest sermons, marrying us 39 years ago, and being there for us during our personal tragedies and losses your family is in our thoughts now. Jerry C. and Betty Pat Thomas Stockton

I celebrate this time to remember a great man and your mom as well. May you know that many lives have been touched over the years and will continue to feel the influence of his thinking, cajoling and pure heckling! How I adored him. Many thoughts of love to each of you.

I will always thank God for Warren and Martha Carr. You are all members of our family. I send the love of all of the Statons. Our hearts are broken but rejoice in the Resurrection.

I'm
so sorry to learn of Warren Carr's death. I was very fond of him and
Martha. They knew my Mother, Louise Slaton Davis, from growing up in
Lexington KY and that relationship is what first led me to meet them
here. My thoughts and prayers are with the famiy and I hope wonderful
memories of a very good man sustain you during this difficult time.

Warren meant so much to Grady & Annette Hite and conducted their unqiue marriage ceremony 31 years ago blending 2 families. Daughter Beverly was Maid of Honor; Son Doug Best Man; Son Greg led the way as acolyte and Son Stephen escorted the bride. Warren conducted their baptismals and always told the story of Doug's swimming out of the baptismal pool much to Warren's delight. We, our Children and their children (9) extend hearfelt sympathy.

Lynn, I've talked to Dud and tried to call you at your father's house to express my sorrow and condolences at Warren's death. You know how very much he and your Mother meant to me. I will see you at the memorial service here in Durham.

My sincere condolences to each of you with Warren's passing. I'm sure you're all proud of his life, his achievements & what he stood for.
Lynn, Bobby & Martha, I hope to see you in Durham for his committal service on the 3rd.

You are in my thoughts.
