Not sure what to say?

I met Warren and Gladys in Florence in the summer of '08 at St. James' Episcopal Church and will never forget their kindness and generosity. Warren was a brilliant artist...I still see the lovely small painting of the Italian coffee pot in my mind's eye...and Gladys made the best brownies you ever tasted. I have missed them since and until finding Warren's death notice I had been unable to locate them. My love and prayers go out to you, Gladys, you were married to a wonderful man. Love,...

Dear relatives and friends of Mr. De Vos,
we never met, neither have I had the chance to meet Mr. De Vos, so you might wonder why I write this at all.

I was only a child when my father, Max Rentzsch, worked with him, but I still remember how he talked about him -- He did, frequently, valueing his optinion on the job as well as on all other things. Believe me when I tell you, he thought him a great person.

With sadness of heart we learned from St. James Episcopal Church of Florence Italy of the passing away of Warren on January 15th. What a loss we have experienced. What a loss Gladys, the Children and Grandchildren have experienced. He was our sweet friend and a dear brother in God's big family. When you talk about the Greatest Generation in USA, there is no better example than Warren. Not simply as a war hero, but as a citizen and human being throughout his life, he exemplified always the best values.

I was overwhelmed by the immensity of the facility; one of the men for whom I worked, Warren DeVos, took me under his wing and helped me through those first months. I have remembered him all these years as a kind and gentle man, and the only name I remember from my ten years at Boeing. I was astonished when I read the obituary and found he (surely this is the same man) had been living in Greensboro, NC, which is...
