Dear Hale Family,
I was so sad to hear that Warren had passed. He was such an inspiration. I had intended to write him when I heard he was ill. I wanted to tell him how he has made such an impression on me, first as a teenager growing up in the 70's. He was never at a loss for words then either! I always knew exactly what he was thinking, he was always very clear as to what his position was on the subject at hand. Later, he and his words affected me yet again, this time as a great story...

We always enjoyed coming back to Milan to celebrate our class reunions. Warren always had some interesting tid-bits to say.

Dee, Alan, Jim and rest of the family. We are so glad that Warren died the way he lived--surrounded by family and friends and having the opportunity to get closure with everyone by remembering all their times together (the fun as well as the serious times).
