Not sure what to say?

Offering our deepest condolences during this difficult time.
You are in our thoughts and prayers.

Will certainly miss our visits and your neverending sense of humor. Thanks for all the good memories. Uncle Millard, Aunt Rue, Mother and Daddy and of course, your sweet LaVelle, are ready for you. Safe journey.

You, were the "Texas Proud" Treasurer and singer of the family.
Life was kinder with you and LaVelle, Millard and LaRue, Daddy and Mother, in it.
As the last patriarch of our extended family, I send these final words: You, and all of those who went before you, were truly loved by me.
Until we meet again....

It is only fitting in the overall scheme of things that such a prolific leader and individual should share the same cloud as the Pope. Thanks for being my friend, Sir.

Uncle Warren's passing signals the end of an era for our family. He and those who went before him - George, LaVelle, Daddy, Mother, and LaFarris - were the generation upon which we formed our values, our hopes and our dreams. Warren takes with him the memories of happy times and family get-togethers that we cousins all enjoyed as youths. We always laughed at Uncle Warren's standard greeting, even if he had seen you the day before: "Hi, how old are you? How much do you weigh?"

It was my honor to succeed Warren as Dallas County Treasurer in 1977, when he became Texas State Treasurer. Warren was a leader among men and was recognized over and over for his leadership ability. His abilities reached far beyond government, W.H. Adamson High School, Oak Cliff Lions Club, SMU, and many more. He will truly be missed, particularly for his big smile and warm handshake!

Sincere condolences to the entire Family.
