Nikki, I found Josh's obit in the Trenton Times, so I made a copy of it for Earl to read. He sat there in utter silence for a long time. The two of them had great times on Tinian. My heart goes out to you.

To the Jochem family. I had the pleasure of having Mr Jochem for wood shop at Trenton High in 1955 and 56, I was the president of his Activieties club and just thought he ws one of the greatest teachers that I had ever had. I made a beautiful mahogany desk while under his teaching,which I still have. I am living in Florida now,but have thought many times about him. I know he lived off of rt. 29,but never made it to visit him. I give you and the family all my sympathy,as I thought he was one...
