Warren Kreunen

Because of age and gender gaps, Warren and I didn't know each other well in our early years. We spent more time together in person and by phone these last few years, and it was a pleasure to get to know each other as adults. He was a special person - a wonderful Big Brother. I will miss his helpfulness, his wit, and his insights. Although you can't choose your relatives, Warren was the relative everyone would choose. I was blessed.

I recently moved back to Wisconsin to enjoy family. Despite Covid, we three enjoyed as many moments as The Kreunen Kids as possible. Warren and I had many pleasant chats: we never ran out of things to say. He was generous with his time and advice - always the kind, understanding Big Brother. The hole he leaves in my life will last forever. Farewell.

We in Rotary so enjoyed the presence and good humor Warren displayed in our post-meeting gatherings of the "History & Current Events" group every Tuesday for years. So sorry to lose you, Warren!

Mr. Kreunen was a great friend to my father, Frank Andrus. He also helped me during a difficult time in 1973. I have never forgotten his kindness. Sending sympathy and love to his family.
